The Beach Butler: a fresh take on coastal weekending

Luxury stays, local knowledge and beautifully effortless all-season escapes with Julie Mather. As seen in Lifestyle Barrington Coast magazine 2026 edition.

In the Pacific Palms region of the Barrington Coast, where Boomerang Beach, Blueys Beach and Seal Rocks meet the coastline, The Beach Butler is redefining how we experience an escape.

More than a place to stay

More than accommodation, it’s a curated coastal getaway lifestyle. Luxury holiday homes, personalised guest services and hands-on property management come together to create effortless weekending escapes and extended coastal stays for guests and homeowners alike.

Founder and owner-operator Julie Mather says the vision is simple. “People don’t just want a place to stay, they want to feel looked after, connected and completely at ease the moment they arrive. As a well-seasoned traveller myself, I like to know things are taken care of and there is not a thing to worry about.”

From Sydney concierge to coastal hospitality

With a background in Sydney’s corporate and legal sector, Julie established one of Sydney’s original concierge services in 2003, managing high-level schedules for executives, professionals and developers.

“Those years taught me precision, organisation and the importance of anticipating needs before they arise,” she says.

“I bring that same approach into The Beach Butler, but with sand between your toes,” she adds, laughing softly.

Hotel-level detail, beachside

Today, The Beach Butler manages hand-selected holiday properties designed for experience-led stays, many available for filming and bespoke coastal getaways.

Each home is prepared with hotel-level detail, quality linen, professional cleaning and seamless guest readiness, alongside a signature beachside butler experience.

“We want guests to arrive and instantly switch off,” Julie says. “We’ll take care of everything else, from local recommendations to making sure the home feels perfect.”

Made for weekending

As Australians increasingly embrace short escapes and spontaneous travel, Julie believes her portfolio across Pacific Palms, Seal Rocks and Diamond Beach is perfectly positioned to capture the growing weekending and extended coastal getaway culture.

“When life feels busy, a weekend by the ocean can reset everything,” she says.

“That’s what we create, space to breathe, reconnect and simply enjoy where you are.”
